Dr. Timothy Lee Gardner, a Virginia native, received his undergraduate degree from University of Richmond in 1989. He attended University of Virginia Medical School and graduated in 1993 before embarking on a 13-year tour with the United States Army.
Dr. Gardner completed a transitional internship at Fort Lewis, Washington; a residency in Dermatology at Fort Sam Houston, Texas; and a fellowship in Dermatopathology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology on the Walter Reed Army Medical Center campus in District of Columbia. After completion of his military service, he was in private practice for 8 years in East Tennessee near his hometown of Abingdon in Southwest Virginia.
Since 2015, Dr. Gardner has been caring for the dermatology needs of our nation's veterans at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, North Carolina. Dr. Gardner is moving to the area to be near his wife's parents and care for the dermatology needs of a small town community similar to where he was raised. He is excited to move from the mountains and learn more about the history of Coastal Virginia.
